Our Mission Statement

-
We are a collective of like-minded people; we seek to change how business gets done, and why. Working within the Hollywood "system", while simultaneously transforming it. We will always question “business as usual”.
-
We are open-minded - especially when considering new people and ideas. We understand that talent does not necessarily equal accolades…and vice versa. We reject the elitist industry norms of “who you know”, of discriminating by pedigree, of clubhouses, connections or "secret handshakes".
-
We are inclusive. We welcome all races, all skin colors, all gender identities, all personality types. We recognize that our differences only make us stronger…and better.
-
We are sharing. We share freely, often, and without hesitation. Of ourselves, our time, our money, our talent, or knowledge. Or even of our compassion for our fellow humans.
-
We are cooperative, always looking for ways to get to “yes” with (and for) each other.
-
We are spiritual. While our personal views will vary, we share a common belief in a higher power, and in its power to uplift and transform lives.
-
We are ethical. We make every decision, and take every action, from a standpoint of “is this not only legal…but is this right?
-
We are truthful, though we are never unkind.
-
We are fair. We seek balanced and just results in all of our dealings.
-
We are caring. We look out for each other’s physical and mental well-being. Always.
-
We are creative. And we encourage that creativity from all Miehana colleagues, whether their role is executive, receptionist, or anything in between. We share our unique gifts freely with each other, and recognize that the best ideas can (and often do) come from unexpected sources.
-
We are transparent. We maintain an internal “open books” policy wherever possible - and while projects and trade secrets must sometimes be kept from the outside world, we believe that our Miehana colleagues are trusted friends who deserve to know how the business is run. This includes monetary decisions; as such, all Miehana employees have the right to know “where the money goes”…to whom, and why.
-
We are optimistic. Our attitude is to see the possibilities in all things. And sometimes, to simply say: “Hey kids, let’s put on a show!”
-
We are transformative. We seek to create opportunities for those who would otherwise lack them.
